      Description

Shree Swaminarayan Temple (BAPS Mandir) in Rajkot, located on Kalawad Road, is a stunning marble and pink-stone temple built in 1998–99 following ancient Vedic Shilpa Shastra techniques without any cement or concrete. Developed by the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha, it houses three main shrines featuring deities such as Lord Harikrishna (a Panchdhatu murti), Swaminarayan, Radha‑Krishna, Ghanshyam Maharaj, and the guru parampara—all crafted from Ambaji, Makrana, and Udaipur pink marble . A prominent spiritual and cultural center, the temple holds daily aartis—including Mangla, Shangar, Rajbhog, Sandhya, and Shayan—and welcomes visitors of all faiths free of charge . Renowned for its intricate architecture, warm community service, educational initiatives, and vibrant festival celebrations like Diwali, Janmashtami, and Holi, this temple is both a place of devotion and a major tourist landmark in Rajkot .
