Phase - I 100 years ago, a visionary - our Bhishmapitamaha, Karamvir Shri Kanji Odhavji - Profoundly known, as HINDOCHA BAPA could not bear to see the poverty,miseries and social ills prevalent amongst our Raghuvanshis. He spontaneously decided against many odds, to travel across the country deciding to move bare foot and with a promise not to eat sweets till he achieve his goal of uniting our Lohana Community and get them work for upliftment of their own people who were in distress.

First convention of our Lohana Community Lohana Parishad was held in Mumbai in 1910. Lohana Parishad continued to function till 1919 looking after upliftment of distressed and deprived Raghuvanshis all over India in general and Gujarat - Saurashtra - Kutch in particular. Number of Balasharams and Balikashrams were established.
However, the Parishad reluctantly went into dormant condition due to miserable world scenario, the First and Second World War, political and economical turmoil across the globe, India independence movement so and on so forth.

Phase - II In the second phase - another visionary - Karamvir Chhaganlal Karamshi Parekh - affectionately known as CHHAGANBAPA took the cudgel of the Lohana Parishad, renamed the institution as Shree Lohana Mahaparishad and convened the first historic Adhiveshan (Convention) in 1952 under dynamic Presidentship of Late Shri Nanaji Kalidas Mehta. People's enthusiasm and personal involvement were incredible. They fully realized that people's participation in an organized manner show miracles and that social activities and its upliftment give significant improvements. A fervent appeal to donate generously for the betterment of their Community People, by Kum. Savita Didi, daughter of Late Shri Nanji Kalidas Mehta also showed miracles. Serpentine lines of donors - both male with money and women with their most cherished possessions - the ornaments - were seen all around. The renowned daily Times of India complimented -
" Here is a Community - the Raghuvanshis, where the people who want to donate are over numbered the people who need help. "

There was no looking back. 50 long fruitful years have passed under the 10 different Presidents. This is our 50th year and we have proposed a Golden Jubilee Celebration with pomp and gaiety.

An apex globally recognized body - A federal organisation of about 500 Mahajans Samaj, Mahila Mandals, Youth wings, etc. of Lohana- Raghuvanshi from India and abroad. 1.3 million in India and 0.3 million globally spread.
